About the Client
Family Day Care Queensland (FDCQ) is the peak body for family day care across Queensland. As a not-for-profit organisation, it stands behind the home-based early childhood educators and service providers who care for children in communities right across the state.
FDCQ supports the sector through advocacy, training, professional learning and a growing catalogue of resources, keeping educators, services and families connected to the information and guidance they need.

The Opportunity
Family Day Care Queensland approached MemberBoat as it prepared to launch five major education and engagement initiatives for the family day care sector. Like many associations, its team knew the programs and audiences deeply but did not have the capacity to develop multiple campaigns alongside day-to-day priorities.
Each initiative needed its own distinctive, recognisable identity while remaining clearly connected to the trusted FDCQ brand. The opportunity was to create a cohesive family of program brands and reusable campaign assets that would strengthen promotion, save the team time and support consistent delivery well beyond the initial launches.
How MemberBoat Helped
MemberBoat took on the creative direction, copywriting and design
across all five programs, freeing FDCQ’s team to focus on building and rolling the work out.
We started with the audience behind each program. Educators are the participants, but service providers are the decision-makers, so every asset had to speak to both.
We delivered:
Positive Behaviour Guidance Coaching Program (PBGCP): A grant- funded coaching program for educators, already running in stages.
- A distinct sub-brand within the FDCQ family
- A full print and digital asset kit
- Reusable templates and an asset library
Leadership and Management Program (LAMP): A government-
funded leadership program combining in-person workshops and online sessions.
- Its own sub-brand and a full launch kit
- Invitation, reusable and thank-you email content and creative
- Event assets and paid social, ready for government sign-off
Child Safeguarding online training: A free, five-module online series funded by the Queensland Government for educators and service staff.
- A campaign look that stands apart from the national training
- Enrolment and automation emails
- Social and paid ad assets
Cultural Learning Series: A five-module online series on embedding culture in everyday care, including First Nations examples.
- A campaign look and feel
- Landing page copy and automated email creative
- A social kit
Every final file was supplied in editable source formats, Canva-friendly versions, PowerPoint and Word templates and print-ready formats, all with full usage rights to adapt and reuse.

The Results
FDCQ came away with a cohesive, professional look across all five programs, freeing a busy internal team from the creative and design load so they could focus on delivery. Members meet each program through the same considered, welcoming experience, which builds confidence in FDCQ and encourages more educators and service providers to take part.
The reusable libraries and style guides mean FDCQ can keep producing on-brand material for its members without starting from scratch, and the grant and government approval requirements were met without holding up the rollout.
“Bringing five programs to MemberBoat was an easy call because they had helped us before with our Marketing Strategy and Communication Plan and understood our members from the start. Each one ended up with a look that speaks to educators and service providers, and we now have a set of templates we can keep building from. Every program came out looking polished and consistent. It saved the team a huge amount of time and pressure.”
