After much anticipation, The Association Hub Podcast has finally launched!
Hosted by the dynamic duo of Olena Lima and Angela Shelton, the minds behind MemberBoat and Answers for Associations, the podcast covers a wide range of topics relevant to association professionals, including membership growth, online communities, alternative revenue sources, governance, and more. Each episode features guest speakers who share their experiences and insights, providing listeners with valuable perspectives and practical takeaways. The podcast stands out with its short, bite-sized episodes (no more than 20 minutes) making it a practical resource for busy professionals.
Olena Lima, co-host of the Association Hub Podcast, brings her passion for podcasts and her desire to create a show specifically for professionals in the Asia-Pacific region. Inspired by engaging podcasts from overseas, Olena saw an opportunity to fill a gap and provide a platform for industry leaders to share their experiences and insights. “I’m a bit of a podcast junkie, and I listen to podcasts all the time when I walk with my dog or when I’m driving or cooking,” said Olena. “I thought it would be great to create a show for professionals in our region. And I couldn’t have thought of a better co-host than Angela.”
Angela shares Olena’s passion for the association world and the power of connecting people for meaningful conversations. “Coming from a corporate background and transitioning into the nonprofit sector, I found a second home in the association sector and had the pleasure to work with so many inspiring people,” said Angela.”The podcast is an excellent opportunity to showcase industry’s inspiring stories and contributions of professionals working in the sector.”
The first episode is The Power of Branding in the Association Sector which features the guest speaker Billie Cox, General Manager of Business Development at AUSactive, sharing their journey from Fitness Australia to AUSactive, reasons for repositioning and things to consider during the rebranding process.
And two more of the first episodes cover topics such as Creating Personalised Member Experiences with Chris Grice of National Seniors Australia; and Growth, Transformation, and Leadership with Marianne Kintzel of Refrigerated Warehouse & Transport Association of Australia Ltd (RWTA).
The Association Hub Podcast is not just a listening experience but a platform for engagement and interaction. Association professionals are encouraged to join the conversation, share their insights, and contribute to the community.
